With shelf ice like that, I think it's going to be awhile before anyone needs to use that lifeguard stand.

We drove out to Washington Park thinking we were going to find a really cool frozen over lighthouse.  As you see, no such luck.  I didn't even see an icicle.  There is some serious shelf ice though.

This is my favorite picture I entered in the Porter County Master Gardener photo contest.  It didn't win anything.  None of mine did.  Oh well, there's always next year.

Today is this handsome guys birthday and I am lucky enough to spend it with him for the 42nd time.  Amazing how quickly time has passed.  It sure doesn't seem like that long.

I took this with the little point and shoot that I keep in my purse, but the moon was huge when I came out of the grocery store last night.  It was so bright and pretty.

This man is standing on what two weeks ago was the shoreline at Lake Michigan.  It is awesome out there now.

I just happened to catch the moon coming up and the sun going down at the same time.  I love the colors.

When we finally went back to school yesterday after the storm. I found some pretty impressive icicles.

The snow covered trees on 20 as we were driving to mom's.

All I wanted to do was get to the beach for pictures and then I realized my front yard looked just like the sand.
