I have decided to make 2012 my year for stepping out of my box and doing things that I've never done before.  My first attempt was to enter a photo contest at the annual Porter County Garden Show at the Expo Center.  I didn't win a ribbon, but I feel like I did.  I'm proud of myself for trying.  This is one of my entries.  I love it, even if they didn't.

This is Taz the golden retriever puppy that should have been mine, but I couldn't convince Dick that it was time to get another dog. At least Myles dad thought it was time for them to get a dog. Now, I can see Taz and get my puppy fix. Isn't he adorable!?!?

I've decided that I will keep doing this every day. But...I will not make myself nuts over it like I did last year. If I don't have a good shot for the day, you will be treated to a little inspiration. That is what my new year is about anyway. I am making time for me and what's important to me. I'm trying to start this year out right by eating healthier. Homemade soup, salad and breadstick. It was kind of like eating at Olive Garden.

I am still undecided as to what avenue I am taking with this blog, but it is finally snowing here in northwest Indiana and I am very excited. I know many of you won't be, but I am. It's one of the reasons I live in a state that has all four seasons.

Decisions / Day 1?

Here's a picture of some of the fireworks near my daughters house last night.

I am still undecided about how to go about the next year with this blog. I have several friends who do this weekly and say that works really well for them. I like the daily post, but sometimes it gets hard if I haven't been shooting much. If I went with weekly, I could change the name to A 365 View / 52 Favorites. I'll try to have this all figured out by tomorrow. In the meantime...Happy New Year!!
