Day 306

I never thought of hurricanes affecting northwest Indiana before.  I won't make that mistake again!  It was spooky, but very cool at the same time.

Day 305

I did a 5k on Sunday.  I did not use a zoom to take this picture.  This guy was that close to us on the trail.  Scared me half to death.

Day 304

Jack was Dick's shadow at the birthday party.  But, oh my, could you ask for a cuter little shadow?  I think not!

Day 301

I'm on fall break and Dick and I took the opportunity to wander the campus of Notre Dame.  It was a beautiful day and we both love it there.  We had the perfect morning.

Day 300

Can you believe that one of the businesses downtown still have petunias that look like this?  They must have one very dedicated gardener.

Day 299

I used to spend a lot of time wading in this creek when I was a kid.  Do kids even do stuff like that anymore?

Day 297

I took a walk with my camera in the beautiful fall weather on Saturday.  I found myself walkng down this oh so familiar hill.  It leads to the neighborhood where I grew up and it was so pretty with all the changing leaves and gorgeous colors.  It was a perfect walk down memory lane.

Day 296

This is my cousin, Trish.  I got to spend some time with her last night.  We hadn't seen each other in four years.  She said she starts her day with this blog.  I think that deserves a picture!

Day 295

The picture doesn't do it justice, but this tree in the garden outside the preschool room is the most brilliant shade of peachy orange.  Just gorgeous.

Day 293

Out on my walk, there was a field full of pretty yellow flowers still blooming.

Day 292

It's our own little plat at the park downtown by the gazebo.  The only problem is that I am behind five people.  That should only cost about $100. to add them.  That's what procrastination will you.  If I had done them as they came along, it would have only been $20. a time.  Oh well!

Day 291

Natalie was playing dress up and decided she needed to be the little old grandma.

Monday, October 15, 2012

Day 290

I took a windy little walk out at Coffee Creek yesterday.

Sunday, October 14, 2012

Day 289

I still have a couple of hold outs faithfully blooming in the garden.

Day 288

Sooooo.....we aren't going to win the Healthy Wage weight loss challenge, but didn't we have the cutest team picture ever?

Friday, October 12, 2012

Day 287

The worlds hardiest begonia.  There has been frost several mornings this week and it is still looking pretty darn good.

Day 286

This picture does not do these clouds justice.  They were breathtaking in the sunset.

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Day 285

I can't imagine that I ever would have let my own kids draw a self portrait on the bathroom mirror.  Isn't it amazing what we will let our grandkids do?

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Day 284

So proud that my team, Vickie's Chickies raised over $1000. for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

Monday, October 8, 2012

Day 283

We may have had a freeze warning last night, but there are still pretty flowers to be found.  I found these while doing the breast cancer walk yesterday.
